DISTRICT NURSES

If you need a dressing, stitches removed, or if your doctor has requested a blood test or an ear syringe, you will see one of the District Nurses in the Treatment Room. If you are ill at home and in need of nursing care, you will be looked after by the same team of Nurses.

PRACTICE NURSES

The Practice Nurses are happy to discuss any health problem and assist in the prevention of illness. They carry out the routine 5-yearly medicals, assist in the Asthma, Blood Pressure, Heart and Diabetic Clinics, and also carry out immunisations.

HEALTH VISITORS

The Health Visitor is attached to the Surgery to assist mothers with children under the age of 6. Please contact via reception.

COUNSELLING

The Counsellors have weekly clinics by appointment in the Surgery to help with minor psychological problems.

COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRIC NURSES

The Community Psychiatric Nurses supervise the long-term care of the mentally ill.

MIDWIVES

There is a midwife who works as part of the surgery team – please telephone 303200 and we will relay a message.

NURSE VISITOR TO THE ELDERLY

We have an attached Nurse Visitor to the Elderly who visits housebound elderly: chronic sick.

 

EMERGENCIES AT NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS
Please telephone 01483 303200 as usual and you will be automatically connected to the emergency switchboard. 
They will relay your request to the mobile doctor on call.
