St Nicolas Surgery is a small central Guildford doctors surgery providing a high quality personal medical care on the NHS.

We also provide private corporate care for several local PLCs.  This consists of occupational  health support, pre-employment, travel and executive medicals and health assessment of problem employees.  Vaccinations for executive foreign travel and same day appointments for immediate medical problems are also available under this private corporate scheme.

REGISTRATION

The doctors like to meet all new patients when they register to record details of past history, weight, height, blood pressure, etc. Please bring your medical card if you have it. You are registered with the practice but are encouraged to see whichever doctor you wish.

HOME VISITS

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and need a visit please telephone before 10am.

EMERGENCIES AT NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS

Please telephone 01483 303200 as usual and you will be automatically connected to the emergency switchboard. They will relay your request to the mobile doctor on call.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

Please leave your request at Reception by using the counterfoil from your last prescription. Your prescription will be ready for collection 24 hours later. Alternatively, send a stamped addressed envelope with your request. We also operate a prescription delivery service to a local chemist.

RESULTS

Please telephone reception at the end of morning surgery to check if results are back. If so, please come and see the doctor during normal surgery hours.

MEDICAL STUDENTS

The Practice assists in the training of future doctors and sometimes a medical student will sit in with one of the doctors as part of their training. The Receptionist will inform you and if you wish to be seen alone, please let us know.

OVER 75’S

If you are 75 years old or over, you are eligible for an annual check. This can be carried out in surgery or at home according to your needs. Please contact reception.

PROBLEMS

COMPLAINTS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT

We are all keen to give a high standard of service reflecting your personal needs. If you have suggestions for improving the service please let us know, or leave a note at Reception. If you have a complaint, either of a general nature or about the handling of a specific problem, we should like to hear about this also. We like to know where problems exist, both to put them right and for general future improvement. Please refer either to one of the doctors or the Practice Manager who will supply details of our "in-house" complaints procedure.

DISABLED ACCESS

St Nicolas Surgery has a ramp and wheelchair-width doors throughout. There is also a WC for the disabled.

CAR PARKING

There is public car parking at the front of St Nicolas Surgery. This is free – 2 hrs limit.
